Assistant in Nursing (AIN)

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a relevant Certificate III-level qualification
  • Relevant certifications and training in aged care
  • Proven work experience in a similar role
  • Physical strength and ability to assist with daily activities

Job Description: 

  • Provide basic services and limited care to elderly patients in aged care facilities
  • Assist with personal hygiene, including showering and dressing
  • Administer medications under the direction of Registered Nurses
  • Support patients with eating and ensure proper nutrition
  • Maintain patient records and assist with ongoing care plans
  • Monitor and report changes in patient health to the healthcare team
  • Assist with developing and administering activities to improve the quality of life for patients
  • Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals
